Puyallup High School Girls' Soccer consists of Varsity, Junior Varsity (JV) and C team squads which vary from 16 to 18 players on each squad with a total of between 50-54 total athletes.
- - The Varsity squad plays a full schedule of 16 regular season contests. Junior Varsity and C teams play between 12 and 16 contests depending upon non-league contests available.
-
- - Being a top team in the SPSL and qualifying for the WIAA State tournament are common occurrences for the Varsity squad. The Girls Varsity have won 7 SPSL championships in a row (including the 2021 Fall Season) and won the Washington State 4A High School State Championships in the 2019 Fall Season.
-
- - The season begins in August normally a week or two prior to the start of school.
-
- - The WIAA mandates that an athlete complete 10 full practice DAYS to be eligible to participate in a competition. Athletes who miss practice days may be severely impacted in regards to eligibility for games. We have practices and competitions during Labor Day Weekend and the expectation is that players be available that weekend.
-
- - We are looking for intelligent players who have strong technical skills
-
- - We are looking for players that are committed to a team first approach, come prepared to work hard every day and take a positive approach to the PHS style of play.
Pre-season sign ups and team meetings normally occur in late May/early June before school is out for the summer. Schedules for meetings and possible "Kick Arounds" will be posted to team calendar but for the most up to date information visit the Soccer Twitter page at: @GoViksSoccer
